The person we are seeking will be a Senior Software Engineer/Developer on InSite One’s core product, which is written in C, C++, Java and deployed on a Linux platform. The Senior Software Engineer will help create new features/products and will also help support the company’s current software products.  This position requires expertise, experience and knowledge in how to design and implement highly robust and scalable solutions.  The ideal candidate has strong low-level internals (networking, sockets, inter-process communication, file system, memory management, multi-threading) skills. 

Responsibilities:  

·         Design, develop, enhance, implement and document various client-server, web-based software according to guidelines

·         Gather and interpret functional specifications and requirements

·         Design logical and physical database model/structure using SQL relational database on networked PCs, workstations

·         Debug and maintain software

·         Help track problems in the field

·         Work with Q/A with each release

·         Develop test/debugging tools to help Q/A and Support

·         Assist Technical Services (responsible for day-to-day operations on the Data Center ) with deployment and usage issues

·         Documentation

·         Develop and maintain expertise in one or more of the following healthcare IT standards: DICOM, IHE, HL7, XDS

Skills and Experience:  

·         To perform the duties of Senior Software Engineer for Insite One, Inc., the individual must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems, or a related field, and 5 plus years of experience in C, C++, Java with Linux

·         Strong in developing user interfaces using Java Swing, HTML, VB Script and related GUI tools

·         Strong knowledge and hands on experience in MySQL and JDBC

·         Proficient in Linux shell scripting

·         Experience in developing internet functionality using JSP, Servlet, PHP, XML and related web tools

·         Strong skills in using IDE (Integrated Development Environment) Net Beans, Oracle JDeveloper.

·         Develop applications using Web Services SOAP, WSDL, MTOM and cryptographic protocol like Transport Layer Security (TLS), SSL.

·         Configuring Tomcat and axis2 architectures

·         Source and build management, writing build script using ANT, MAKE, CVS  

DICOM, HL7 and IHE XDS with ebXML experience a big plus.  

Strong communication skills are a must.
